First released digitally two years ago, Tim Jackiw's superb "Many Moons" album has finally made it to wax. For those who missed the download edition, the set sees the Australian techno futurist at his most melodious, atmospheric, intergalactic and musically intricate, offering up an ear-pleasing, life-affirming collection of cuts that supplements his usual Detroit-influenced fare with similarly impressive and emotive excursions into deep techno, spiraling, trance-inducing epics, Stephen Rutter style IDM, rushing ambience, Larry Heard-ish deep house and sparkling electronic soundscapes that may make a few hearts skip a beat or two. Few can create electronic music that's simultaneously widescreen and intimate, but Jackiw manages it with each and every release. Don't sleep!
