Cologne-based Matt Karmil has served up a steady slew of releases on well-respected labels such as Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space, Yume, PNN and most recently Idle Hands. With a new album in the offing for the latter label, Karmil pops up on another bastion of consistency, Endless Flight, with this stellar 12" effort. On "Fight' he serves a beautiful atmospheric techno cut with its moody, entrancing bell melody backed by a gritty arpeggio. On the flip "Kiss & Make Up" is more of a dub version of the previous side, sparing the atmospherics for more a heads down, slow burning DJ tool. Tip!
