J&L - Ramayana Chant EP (Limited) - Eshu

Since emerging in 2012, the ESHU Records label has helped establish Nijmegen on the electronic music map of the Netherlands, drawing from local artists to deliver techno in various forms whilst occasionally calling on more recognisable names (think Nodge, think Van Abbe, think Echologist) The label's latest outing continues this tradition, introducing the debut of J&L, aka Tom Liem and ESHU's co-founder Jocelyn Abell and calling on Abdulla Rashim for remix duties. "Save The Planet" could easily feature on a Prologue release, drawing the listener deep into a realm of sublime, stripped back techno, whilst "Raymana Chant" offers a darker side of the J&L production palette. Rashim's remix is sandwiched in-between and is actually the Swede's hybrid revision of both tracks, hence the name "Ramayana Planet".
