Andu Simion / Chasindub / Intrepid Soul / Iajov - STELA008 - Stela Music

Stela Music is a record label founded by Romanian DJ and producer Tibi Fratila aka Intrepid Soul, serving as sonic bridge between the old and the new. The label's previous three editions have been courtesy of himself, but this new one is an exciting various artists EP. Featured on here is Andu Simion (member of power trio Lisiere Collectif) who has been on a roll of late with terrific releases on Atipic, Polen and Cakeman - his contribution "Rebel Wagon" is a lean, deep and functional affair suited to balmy nights at Sunwaves, while A2 is is Chasindub's "Sphericall" - a session of trance-inducing tunnel vision that's perfect for afterhours weirdness on the dancefloor. On the flip, we're treated to some even more tripped-out stuff. Label head honcho Fratila steps up to deliver the hypnotic alien jam "Entheogenic" while Iajov follows in the tradition of greats like Mike Parker: conjuring those ghosts out of the machines on the mental groove of "Static".
