René Audiard, Seuil - Model Funk / Glow - Eklo

It's a rare thing to see Soren Jahan venture that far from his natural habitat of labels like Blank Slate and Supply, but as his reputation grows so does his reach. The American, by the way of Berlin, finds himself in France thanks to Eklo, a label that's released music by Miss Fitz, dOP, Tolga Fidan and Le Loup to name a few. It's a bold release with the A-side housing four locked grooves, while the title-track takes up most real estate in a production that combines Villalobos grooves with Giegling minimalisms, while the B-side from Eklo regular Seuil champions a quirky Perlon persona.
