Glenn Underground - Archives - Groovin Recordings
First released way back in the year 2000 and now reissued and red vinyl, Archives is one of Glenn Underground's greatest 'odds and ends' releases to date. It gathers together two hard-to-find gems from the acclaimed Love & Hurt triple-album and rare bonus cut 'Hard Tymes', a particularly breezy, jazzy, sun-kissed and musically rich slab of bossa-house that comes smothered in vibraphone style solos. 21 years on, the EP has lost none of its sparkle, with the 'Elle'-in-Chicago deep house warmth of 'Stringing Me' and the impeccably spacey 'Storm Raiders (Tribute to Larry Heard)' both impressing. In other words, it's a great Glenn Underground EP that should definitely be in your collection.
