Patrick Topping - Get Beasty EP - Hot Creations

One of the break out stars of the Hottrax label last year, Patrick Topping (or Paddy Topps as we have christened him) continues to excel on parent operation Hot Creations, returning for a second slab of feel-good house business on the Foss/Jones operation in the shape of Get Beasty. Taking a largely tracky approach across all three productions, Topping casts aside any illusions of subtlety on the title cut that dips into electro house territory on occasions. On the flipside, "Stop" is a fine demonstration of why Paddy is gaining a rep for driving basslines, whilst "Strights Up" hints at an appreciation of the bleeps and bass of the Chemical Brothers.
