While they have worked together before - those with good memories may remember their joint remix of LAPS for DFA - Edge of Infinity marks the first major collaboration between two of electronic music's most exciting producers, Roza Terenzi (AKA Katie Campbell) and D. Tiffany (Sophie Sweetland). As individual producers, they're renowned for the hallucinatory, often sonically detailed and undeniably loved-up nature of their trademark sounds, so it's little surprise to find that their joint album ticks all their boxes. After beginning with a chunk of dreamy, melancholic post-ambient electronica, they effortlessly drift between trippy, bouncy techno ('Gravity Bongo', the more driving and breakbeat-tinged 'Liquorice Skritch'), sub-heavy tribal hedonism ('Lil' Drummer Boi'), polyrhythmic techno ('Grains of Sand', the wide-eyed 'Paparazzi'), intergalactic late '90s style D&B ('Redemption Arc') and trance-inducing downtempo psychedelia ('Possession').
