Chunky roughed up house beats are the order of the day here, a real peak time groove. New talent Harry McCanna, resident at Londons infamous Undersound nights, debuts with Act 1, a beautifully subtle bassline driven groove that rises above the pack with its super warm pad lending the track a warm and fuzzy hypnotic edge. Romanian talent Zece kicks off the flipside with the most contemporary offering, a breakbeat laden groove with a fx laden vocal snatch underpinned by that all important b-line whilst Sonodab rounds things off with a beautifully deep and melodic slice of electro on Brown Study, the percussive elements giving rise to a hazy melodic pattern for those early hour excursions.
