VADIM SVOBODA - PATTERNS SELECTED THREE - THE DOUBLE R

 For the third installment in his Patterns Selected series Vadim Svoboda works a little dubwise magic into the icy tendrils of his stripped-down style on The Double R. "Pattern 55" especially shows this off as choice reverb hits wash out over the agile and positively trim beat. "Pattern 13" gets into a skippier frame of mind that hovers just beyond being a rock solid dance track, instead finding inspiration in a choice snippet of jazzy piano and a healthy dose of swing on the hi hats. Compared to much minimal stagnation, these tracks fizz with energy and invention at every turn.
