Pépé Bradock - Dactylonomy II - Atavisme
Here comes the second chapter of Dactylonomy, a 12 inch pentalogy from the weird and wonderful mind of French rule-breaker Pepe Bradock. He actually opens up with one of his more straight forward house jams - a deep, shuffling affair mired in heavy filter use. It's on the reverse that he serves up twisted melodies, jazzy groove made of broken loops and detached cosmic ambient interludes that are awash with gorgeous chords and sci-fi details. 'Danske Mansus' is a highlight with its freaky after party feels, while 'Pitcher' could be a Moodymann jam for the way it is so brilliantly loose and expertly sampled.
