CD packaged in a 4 page deluxe digipack with silver spine* Nicolas Jaar lays Clown & Sunset to sleep and introduces a new label, Other People, with a compilation starring Will Epstein, Acid Pauli, Valentin Stip, Quentin Pistol and more. There's no huge leap of imagination needed to bridge the two labels; there's still a very mannered, sober quality to the gear on offer here, ranging from measuredly wistful desert ambient pop and chamber-like solo guitar and electronic pieces (thanks to Mssrs Pistol and Terranova) to the glassy, fractured IDM-pop of Benjha's 'Gravity' and slompy, breezy slo-mo grooves from Acid Pauli and Valentin Stip. And as if to reinforce the gnat's whisker-width of difference between the two, the highlights feature Nicolas Jaar himself with the crafty tech-house shimmy of 'Break My Love' and in the trip-hop triplets and atmospheric vocals of Dave Harrington's remix for Jaar's Why Didn't You Save Me'.
