Sections of Max Richter's ambitious eight hour cradle song Sleep; designed to quite figuratively make you fall asleep receives some stunning remix treatments. Scottish prog-rock legends Mogwai turn "Path 5" into a dark, Life & Death style journey track complete with some textural guitar abrasions that come in later on, sounding absolutely brilliant. British IDM legend Clark also steps up to give the same track an epic and brooding makeover filled with subtle splashes of distortion and redux to stunning effect. British duo Digitonal's "Theo In Dreamland Mix" is probably the version that stays true to the original in all it's breathtaking symphonic glory with slight flourishes of electronica. U.S. sound artist Norm Chambers dons theJ urgen Muller alias once again on the gorgeously aquatic ambient vibes of his remix of "Dream 3". Absolutely splendid.
