JBSF1 - JBSF1 - Ferrispark 034

Scott Ferguson's Ferrispark imprint slips out this twelve inch wrapped in all manner of intrigue - negating to fill in the blanks marked "identity of artist" and "track names", leaving us with just the music to talk about. Given the initials of JBSF1 we could be presumptuous and claim Ferguson himself is involved to some collaborative degree, and the level of production across the three tracks here would add credence to such a statement. However presumptions are, as they say, the mother of all f*ck ups so we'll settle with stating a warmth exudes through each untitled production here, effortlessly combining beat down rhythms with a sense of melody and emotion across the two A Side bumpers. The real gold is the expansive B Side deviation, all smudged pads and haunting, soulful vocals veering between delicate percussive textures that gradually build in prominence as the track reverberates towards the run out groove.
