Giorgio Moroder vs I-Robots - Utopia: Me Giorgio 1977-2014 - Deeplay

Get ready for a refreshing blast from the past. I Robots has gone and reconstructed Giorgio Moroder’s classic “Utopia – Me Giorgio” through the resurgence of Deeplay Digital.

Listeners are in for a real treat as I Robots gives us 3 different reconstructions each with their own unique feel. The first of the three is just a simplistic cleaning and extending of the original.  It brings Giorgio’s beautiful and entrancing classic into the modern age.  They took the 3:23 minute original and and brought it to a whopping almost 7 minute, club ready, groove monster.

The second version, the “Tape Reconstruction,” is a beefed up analog tape induced tune.  I Robots had a dream that he found an old original Moroder tape at the flea market and used it to beef up the tune. He definitely made his dream a reality by making it an eclectic and vintage sounding tune.

The final version, the “2014 Reconstruction,”  is a dance floor destroying tech house wonder. This is the version that I can foresee being a staple in many big sets this year and with the resurgence of Giorgio himself as a DJ. I hope more artists do what I Robots has done.
