A LA NATURAL | 2017 | PATRICK BOUJU
The Auvergne, better known for its volcanoes than for its wines, deserves its nickname of little Tuscany when it is expressed by a lover of the region like the original Patrick Bouju. Seeking to express the best of the terroir and to produce wines with a strong identity, this non-conformist winemaker cultivates vines of various, sometimes forgotten, grape varieties without chemical inputs.
An original blend of several variants of Gamays and Chardonnays, this red wine presented here as a Vin de France has an exceptional fruitiness associated with a surprising freshness. Red fruits (strawberry, blackberry in particular) dominate.
A thirst-quenching wine in the purest expression of the subject, this wine should be drunk young.
